The Power of a Retro — using tech principles in everyday life

In the world of tech and business, you’ll hear teams talk about doing a ‘retro’…what is our obsession with abbreviating things?! A retro is essentially a look back on something, you guessed it…retrospectively. This allows teams to review the work that has been done, progress against plan, issues that have been unblocked plus more. It acts as a temperate check and an opportunity to take stock and identify key learnings that can be implemented the next round time.
Lots of business strategy and tech related methodologies can be applied more broadly to our daily lives. I’ll be writing a series of articles on how you can apply these business strategy and tech principles to our personal lives. When I was new to the world of digital strategy and tech, I tried to understand new methodologies, terms, ways of working etc. in an every day context. This helped reduce the complexity and break things down to their simplest form.
